We all know wood is a beautiful and versatile natural material. It seems that almost every day we come across an amazing use of wood in commercial projects. From a refit of the royal yacht to intricate and artistic applications, wood is helping to surround us with beauty.

To highlight this W8 will feature an area devoted to celebrating some of the stunning work which is done in wood.

In this free to enter competition we want you to send up to 10 digital pictures of your project in wood along with a brief outline of the work. The only rules are that it must have been completed by your business in 2007 or 2008 and can be verified as your own work. Joinery, Furniture or any product made of wood is acceptable.

Short-listed entries will be featured in our September issue and the best entry in the opinion of the judging panel will be announced at W8. There the winner and all those short-listed will have their products or full colour studies shown within the Beauty of Wood section of the exhibition. Get ready for lots of publicity!
